2 Bangladeshi-British nationals killed in London fire

Bangladesh High Commission to Britain on Tuesday said London police assumed two of the dead killed in the deadly London inferno to be dual nationals of Bangladesh and UK identifying them as Rabeya Begum, 65, and Husna Begum, 22.

“The foreign and Commonwealth Office on Monday quoting the London Metropolitan Police Service said that two people who died in the tragic Grenfell Tower inferno were `believed to be dual British-Bangladeshi nationals`,” a High Commission statement signed by Press Minister Nadeem Qadir said.

At least 79 people were missing or killed in the fire which engulfed a 24-storey housing block in central London in the early hours on June 14 when most residents were asleep.
