UK election: Tulip Siddiq retains her seat
Tulip Siddiq, granddaughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, niece of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and daughter of Sheikh Rehana, has won the Hampstead and Kilburn seat again in 2017 UK election.
The Labour Party candidate Tulip received 34,464 votes while her nearest rival conservative party candidate Claire-Louise Leyland received 18,904 votes.

Tulip Siddiq has won from the high-profile Hampstead and Kilburn constituency which was the ‘target seat’ for Conservative party.
Polls opened at 07:00 BST on Thursday at more than 40,000 polling stations across the country, with counting starting once voting ends at 22:00 BST.
