BSF seizes Pakistani boat with 9 on board
A Pakistani boat with 9 people on board was intercepted by the Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday near Gujarat, officials said.
A senior official said the boat ‘with eight to nine persons on board was caught by our patrol team in the morning close to the Sir Creek area’ in Gujarat’s Kutch district close to the Pakistan maritime border.
‘Interrogation teams have been sent to inquire about them in depth. So far, we have seized only fish and some fishing equipment from the boat. But, the possibility of these people spying for Pakistan can’t be ruled out,’ the officer added.
The Coast Guard had on October 2 seized one Pakistani boat off Porbandar in Gujarat.
