Saloon based library, an exceptional initiative

In this diverse world, people do much versatile work. Someone does for gaining happiness, someone does for self-satisfaction. However, most of the man-made works in the mysterious world are performed for the purpose of showing people. Again, with some exceptions, our eyesight is sometimes stopped. Behind this lies the enlightened society in the light of civilization. One such person is book lover Harun Ar Rashid, Whose birth friendship with the book. He is known as modern 'Polan Sarkar' to us. 

His latest initiative attracts every book lover surely. Booklover Harun Ar Rashid took the initiative to build a saloon-based library & made it successful in his own way. This exceptional saloon-based library was set up at Subrata Hair Cutting Saloon in Kolakopa Bazar, Nawabganj Upazila, Dhaka District. The purpose is to give books to people of different classes and professions who come to cut their hair in the Saloon. The main objective of his initiative is to make a section of society book-oriented. He said that anyone can join the initiative to promote the book offline with the slogan 'Boi Houk Nityasangi'. This exceptional library will be built step by step wherever opportunities arise in different parts of Bangladesh. In the first phase, books by famous Authors of Bangladesh as well as some popular authors of the young generation have also found in this saloon library. 

This book peddler has been working with books online and offline for a long time. He also went door to door during  Corona Lockdown at last year, delivering books that helped bring peace of mind to many. He was selected as the Best Social Activist of Bangladesh by the Africa Asia Youth Foundation in recognition of these new initiatives with books and the work of making the internet oriented generation to book oriented. He was Asked what his dream was with the book, he said bluntly, 'I want to spread the word of the book from village to town and from place to place.' Note that he has been working with books offline and online more than a decade.
