Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country in 24 hours ending 9am tomorrow.

Moderately heavy to heavy falls are likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet & Chittagong and divisions during the period, says a Met office release this morning.

Meanwhile, a warning message of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said, "rain or thunder showers temporarily with south or south-easterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kilometer per hour (kph) is likely to occur
over the regions of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Fridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comolla, Chittagong & Cox`s Bazar wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary
signal number one".

Country`s highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 33.5 degree Celsius at Dinajpur in Rangpur division and minimum temperature 23.8 degree Celsius at Rangamati in Chittagong division.

The highest rainfall was recorded 114 millimeter at Barisal. Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The sunset will be at 6.49pm today and sunrise at 5.12am tomorrow in the capital city Dhaka.
