Met office predicts heavy rainfall

Due to active monsoon Heavy to very heavy Rainfall is likely to Occur at Places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions in 24 hours as of 10am tomorrow.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, a Met office release said today.

Meanwhile, Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places in Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places in the country in 24 hours till 9am tomorrow," a warning message of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said .

Country`s highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.2 degree Celsius at Satkhira in Khulna division and minimum temperature 22 degree Celsius at Bhola in Barisal. The highest rainfall was recorded 159 millimeter at Sandwip in Chittagong.

The sun sets at 6.49pm today and rises at 5.12am tomorrow in the capital city of Dhaka.
