Met office forecasts rainfall in parts of country

Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Chittagong, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Barisal divisions and at one or two places over Khulna division with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.

Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area, which extends up to North Bay. Southwest monsoon has advanced up to Barisal, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions, said a Met office release today.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The sun sets at 06-43pm today and rises at 05-11am tomorrow in Dhaka.

Country`s highest temperature 35.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Rajshahi on Friday and the lowest 23 degree Celsius at Sylhet and Srimangal.
