Nipun stopped at airport on way to UK

Actress Nipun Akter has been stopped at the Osmani International Airport, Sylhet, from flying to the UK.

The Immigration Police stopped Nipun from boarding her flight on Friday morning, January 10, and took her into their custody.

She was barred from leaving the country following the objections from the National Security Intelligence, NSI, a source in the airport told Jago News.

The source said Nipun was a passenger of UK-bound BG201 flight of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines scheduled to take off at about 10:15am. When she was completing immigration after the boarding pass wearing a mask on her face, the immigration officials identified her and took her into their custody. Her flight was also cancelled.

Another source said she was released after cancelling her flight and she, later, left the airport.
