Bobby Deol looks sinister in first-look poster of his Tamil debut Kanguva
Bobby Deol’s Udhiran puts on a bloodied armour and deer horns in the first-look poster of his Tamil debut Kanguva, shared by the makers on the actor’s 55th birthday on Saturday.
“Ruthless. Powerful. Unforgettable,” production banner Studio Green captioned the poster of the Sivakumar Jayakumar-helmed upcoming fantasy action drama on Instagram.
Bobby’s character, who is blind in his left eye, sports a rugged look with unkempt hair as he seems to be dragged by masked women around him. A sea of raised hands around Udhiran are reaching for something, intensifying the eerie ambience of the poster.
Earlier, the makers had teased Udhiran’s reveal on social media with a poster featuring a bloodied arm clutching gold medals. “The mighty #Udhiran of Kanguva will be revealed tomorrow at 11 am. Stay Thrilled,” they had captioned the teaser poster on Instagram on Friday.
Starring Jai Bhim actor Suriya in the titular role, Kanguva’s cast also includes Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam and Jagapathi Babu. Like Bobby, the film will be Disha’s first foray into the Tamil film industry.
The music of Kanguva is scored by the National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad. The film is slated to hit theatres in early 2024.
After grabbing eyeballs for his portrayal of Abrar Haque in Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed actioner Animal, Bobby will also be seen in Krish Jagarlamudi’s period action adventure film Hari Hara Veera Mallu and a yet-to-be-titled project by Nandamuri Balakrishna.
