Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan to reunite after 32 years
Indian cinema’s two legendary stalwarts, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, are all set to reunite on the big screen again. The two who have shared screen space in films like Hum, Andhaa Kaanoon and Geraftaar, will be seen sharing the screen space after almost 32 years with the upcoming film titled Thalaivar 170, reports IndiaToday.In.
RAJINIKANTH-AMITABH BACHCHAN TO SHARE SCREEN SPACE
Rajinikanth recently wrapped up the shooting schedule of Jailer and is working on Lal Salaam. Post the two movies, he will be seen working with Jai Bhim fame director TJ Gnanavel’s upcoming film Thalaivar 170. The movie in question will be the 170th film of his career hence it is tentatively titled Thalaivar 170.
Sources close to the development told IndiaToday.In that, the film will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions and the two biggies will be joining hands after almost 32 years. As per the reports, the Piku star will play an important role in Rajinikanth's starrer.
Earlier, reports were rife that the role was earlier offered to Ponniyin Selvan actor Chiyaan Vikram. The team hasn't revealed when they are going on floor, though it is expected that Thalaivar 170 might take off later this year.
RAJINIKANTH WRAPS JAILER SHOOTING
After an extensive shoot, Rajinikanth wrapped up the schedule of his forthcoming film, Jailer. The legendary actor will be seen playing jailer Muthuvel Pandian in the film, which has a huge cast consisting of Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan and others. Malayalam actor Mohanlal will also be seen for an extended cameo in the forthcoming film.
