Now producer Rahmat Ullah sues Shakib Khan

Now film producer Rahmat Ullah has filed a defamation case against Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan.

He lodged the case in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam on April 13.

The court bench clerk Nazmul Hossain confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

The court, later, accepted the statement of the plaintiff and asked the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to probe the lawsuit.

Earlier, the lawyer for Rahmat Ullah sent a legal notice to Shakib Khan as he called the film producer cheater and made derogatory remarks about him to the media.

On March 23, Shakib Khan filed a case against Rahmat Ullah in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arafatul Rakib.

In the case, he brought allegations of extortion and making a life threat to him.

On March 27, Shakib Khan also lodged another case against the producer in the court of Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Julfiqer Hyat under the Digital Security Act.
