Vijay Deverakonda announces next film
Actor Vijay Deverakonda has announced his next film, tentatively titled VD12, to be helmed by Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri.
The Liger actor shared a poster of the film on Twitter and wrote, “The Script. The Team. My next. My heart skipped a few beats when I heard this.”
The film’s poster shows a police officer whose face is covered with a cloth, indicating that Deverakonda might play the role of a cop in the upcoming film. The poster also carries a cryptic quote which reads, “Don’t know where I belong. To tell you whom I betrayed — Anonymous Spy”
The film will be co-produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
National Award-winning director Tinnanuri’s last project was the Hindi remake of his Telugu blockbuster Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. The original Telugu-language film, starring Nani, won two National Awards in the category of Best Film – Telugu and Best Editing.
Deverakonda, who attained stardom in Telugu with blockbuster films like Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam, NOTA, World Famous Lover and Dear Comrade, was last seen in his Bollywood debut Liger opposite Ananya Panday.
The 33-year-old actor will next be seen in the Telugu-language drama film Kushi alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
