Singer Akbar Ali passes away

Singer Akbar Ali, who became known for performing in the popular show 'Ityadi', has died.

He breathed his last around 3 pm while undergoing treatment at BIRDEM General Hospital in capital Dhaka.

His wife Kaniz Fatema confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Earlier on Wednesday, he was put on life support at the hospital following his physical condition deteriorated.

On November 5, the singer was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the facility following he had suddenly fallen sick.

At that time, his wife said they were taking preparation to take him to India for treatment but he had to be admitted to BIRDEM General Hospital following his sudden illness. 

Singer Akbar Ali had long suffered from various complications. Recently his right leg was amputated due to complications.
