Ekushey Padak winning actor Masum Aziz dies
Ekushey Padak winning actor and dramatist Masum Aziz died in a hospital in capital Dhaka on Monday. He was 70.
He breathed his last around 3 pm at Square Hospital, his brother-in-law Wakib Babu confirmed to Jago News.
Sommilito Sangskritik Jote President Golam Quddus also confirmed the matter in a Facebook post.
The actor had suffered from various old age complications for a long. Recently he was admitted to the hospital following his physical condition deteriorated.
While studying at Chittagong University, Masum Aziz made his acting debut in the theater. In 1985, he debuted in TV drama. He has played in more than four hundred dramas and notable films since 1985.
He was honoured with a National Film Award for his performance in Ghani in 2006.
