Pori Moni announces pregnancy

Dhallywood actress Pori Moni has announced her pregnancy on Monday afternoon.

Making the announcement, she told media that she fell in love with actor Shariful Raj while shooting of a film of diector Gias Uddin Selim.

And on October 17 last year, they tied knot and both family members attended the marriage ceremony, she said.

The director also confirmed the matter to the media.

In mid-June last year, actress Pori Moni made headlines accusing a businessman of taking a rape and murder attempt on her at Dhaka Boat Club in Savar on the outskirt of Dhaka.

Amid this, allegations surfaced that she conducted vandalizms at several clubs in the capital.

On August 4 last year, a team of Intelligence Unit of Rapid Action Battalion raided the home of Pori Moni at Banani in the capital and detained her.  

The law enforcers said they also recovered a huge amount of narcotics from the residence during the drive.

At that time, RAB's Legal and Media Wing Director Khandaker Al Moin said they conducted the raid based on some specific allegations against her.

Later, she was sued under the Narcotics Control Act, and now she is on bail in the lawsuit.
