Hanging body of lyricist Russell O'neil recovered

Police recovered the hanging body of lyricist Russell O'neil from his home in the capital's Tejgaon industrial area on Thursday night.

Tejgaon Industrial Police Station officer in-charge Kazi Abul Kalam confirmed the matter to Jago News on Friday.

Being informed by family members, police recovered the body of Russel O'neil hanging from the ceiling fan at his home in Lichu Bagan area, he said.

Police primarily assume that the lyricist might commit suicide, the OC added.

Russel O'neil composed many popular songs like 'Din Bari/Chore Pakhir Danay', and advertising jingles.

He penned most of the songs sung by musician Bappa Mazumber.
