Noted actor Enamul Haque dies
Veteran actor and cultural personality Dr Enamul Haque has passed away. He was 78.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital on Monday noon.
His daughter Hridy Haque confirmed her father’s death to Jago News.
Haque was born on May 29 in 1943 in Feni. He completed his Bachelor and Masters in chemistry in 1963 and 1964 respectively from the University of Dhaka.
He joined the department of chemistry of BUET in 1965 as a lecturer. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the University of Manchester in 1976 in the field of synthetic organic chemistry.
Haque debuted in acting with the tele-fiction “Mukhora Romoni Boshikoron”, produced by Mustafa Monwar in 1968.
His most famous works include “Sheishob Dingulo”, “Oneekdiner Ekdin”, “Nirjon Shoikot”, and “Ke Ba Apon Ke Ba Por”.
He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2012.
