Pori Moni, Raj sued under Narcotics Control Act

Two separate cases have been filed against Dhallywood actress Pori Moni and producer Nazrul Islam Raj under the Narcotics Control Act.

The Rapid Action Battalion lodged the cases with Banani Police Station on Thursday afternoon, officer in-charge Nur-e-Azam Mia confirmed this to Jago News.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, a team of Intelligence Unit of the elite force detained the actress along with a 'huge amount of drugs' during a drive at her home at Banani in the capital.

At that time, RAB's Legal and Media Wing Director Khandaker Al Moin said they conducted the raid based on some specific allegations against her.

Hours after her detention, RAB conducted a drive at the home of producer Raj at Banani and nabbed him.

The elite force said they also recovered drugs, and materials used to create pornographic films from his house.

The detention of the duo came days after the law enforcers had arrested two models - Faria Mahbub Piasha and Mou Akter - along with alcohol in the capital.

In mid-June, actress Pori Moni made headlines accusing a businessman of taking a rape and murder attempt on her at Dhaka Boat Club in Savar on the outskirt of Dhaka.

Amid this, she faced allegations of vandalisms at a few clubs in the capital.
