Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artiste Namita Ghosh dies

Namita Ghosh, an eminent singer and the first female voice artiste of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in capital Dhaka on Friday night.

She was 63, said a press release on Saturday.

Namita left behind three brothers, two sisters and a host of admirers to mourn her death.

A guard of honour was accorded to her today on Shani Mandir premises at Shakhari Bazar in the city.
