Actress Romana Sorna arrested

Police have arrested model and actress Romana Islam Sorna in a case filed on charge of swindling over Tk 1 crore from an expatriate. 

She was nabbed from Lalmatia area in the capital on Thursday evening, Mrityunjay De Sajal, ADC of Mohammadpur zone under DMP's Tejgaon Division, confirmed to Jago News.

He said a Saudi expatriate today filed a case against Romana Sorna with Mohammadpur Police Station.

In the lawsuit, he accused her of marrying him by deception and swindling more than Tk 1 crore from him on different occasions showing various excuses, the police official added.

Romana Sorna and the expatriate knew each other through Facebook, and maintained communication via Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, Sajal also said.
