Kazi Hayat catches Covid-19 after taking vaccine
Popular film director Kazi Hayat has tested positive for coronavirus after he had recently received his first dose of the vaccine.
His wife also caught the virus, he himself confirmed this to Jago News on Thursday afternoon.
"I felt fever on March 6, and after two days I and my wife gave samples for coronavirus test that came out positive," he said.
The National Film Award winner said he received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on March 2.
The film director also said he has no other complications except fever, and now he along with wife is maintaining isolation at home.
Bangladesh on January 27 began coronavirus vaccination programme, and launched the same nationwide on February 7.
The country, however, recorded 5,54,156 coronavirus cases and 8,502 deaths from the virus till today since it first reported COVID-19 cases on March 8, 2020.
