“Song of Offering,” being made in six UN official languages

The song titled "Song of Offering" is being composed in Bengali with six other official languages of the United Nations on the occasion of International Mother Language in remembrance of our Great Martyrs. Talented music director Sajib Das has composed the music. And the lyrics writer and tuning done by Zafor Firoze. Audio and visual recording of the song has already been completed. The song was sung by Fahmida Nabi, renowned National Film Award winning musician and Singer RJ Raju a popular artist in this time. Moroccan singer Arif Bell given voices for Arabic, Singaporean singer Julian sang in Chinese, Venezuelan artist Marquis Gunde sang in English, French artist Benjamin sang in French, Russian singer Olga and Romanian Singer Kate sang in Spanish language.

Music director Sajib Das said about the song- “I felt lucky to be a part of this song, dedicated to our language movement martyrs in 7 different languages including Bengali. Zafor Firoze has written the lyrics with the thoughts of the generation who could not took part in the language movement.

This song will be released in two versions. One has the entire song sung by Fahmida Nabi and Rj.Raju. And the other version has six more languages being added besides Bengali. Zafor Firoze has synchronized the music videos and coordinated with artists from different countries. He said’ "21st February is being recognized and observed with dignity in the UN member countries as international mother language day . With that in mind, the song was planned to be recorded in six official languages of the United Nations besides Bengali. Our aim is that people of other languages will also know about the sacrifices of our language martyrs and love for our Bengali language will be established: the love of pride, respect and glory. It is beyond the imagination for others that so many lives were sacrificed just for the sake of our mother language. Most of the countries are under lock down due to Covid-19. So, we had to limit the shooting in the studio. We hope that if all goes well, the audio and visual of the song will be released before 21st February.

Fahmida Nabi quoted, "This song titled 'Song of offering' reminds us of our language movement martyrs." I am positive about the song. I think Bangla songs and Bangla tunes will spread in the world with the new ideas of the youth. The song will touch everyone's heart with its wonderful lyrics and melody and Sajib's perfect music. Artist RJ Raju said- I believe this song will add another dimension to our International Mother Language Day. The song will be released on Cinevision Limited official YouTube channel.
