Freedom fighter, actor Dilu dies

Freedom fighter and actor Mujibur Rahman Dilu passed away in a private hospital in the capital early Tuesday. He was 68.

Dilu, who was undergoing treatment at United Hospital, breathed his last around 6:30am. 

He was suffering from pneumonia. 

His elder brother actor Ataur Rahman confirmed his death to Jago News. 

Earlier, the actor was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital due to his deteriorating condition.

Dilu, a television and stage actor, director, theater activist and playwright, is most notable for acting in the television drama serial Songsoptok.

He took part in the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
