Eid is undoubtedly the biggest festival in our country. Eid means letting go of any difference of doctrines of faith or culture. The joys of Eid are boosted manifolds by the TV channels broadcasting special Eid dramas. Thanks to the advancements of technology, these dramas can now also be found on Youtube though it hasn’t lessened the appeal of TV dramas at all. The huge outpour of interest and support by the viewers gives the directors the motivation to create new content which also means the performers also get busy with numerous schedules and this is what keeps the TV channels alive and kicking.
But this year the scenarios are different. Not many dramas were created in the Eid-ul-Fitr due to the health risks brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. He has shown everyone that he is the pioneer of modern filmmaking in every genre such as ranging from romantic, emotional, suspense, or thriller. Some notable works by him this Eid are, ‘Byanjonborno’, ‘Maa I miss you’, ‘Amar oporadh ki?’, ‘A Bitter Love Story’, ‘Date room’ and ‘Moddhobitto howatai pap?’. Kajal Arefin Ome: Though he has a lead in the view counts on YouTube, the esteemed director Kajaj Arefin ‘Mask’ has seen its fair share of criticism. His drama ‘Single’ has been a hot topic of discussion. Viewers were also surprised by the different stories of the drama. He received appreciation from one group of people but criticized by another group of people. In his work “Why” he showed that he can give quality work.
Mijanur Rahman Ariyan: Viewers are always looking forward to enjoying new dramas of Mijanur Rahman who is certainly the most famous and talked about in the media circle. And like every time, this Eid he gave us many dramas to enjoy. The most talked about and certainly, one of the best of these was ‘Janbe na konodino sharthopor’. A lot of viewers showed great interest in the ‘Shohor chere poranpur’ telefilm. Though there was less response to ‘Pranpriyo’ and ‘Ekai Eksho’ both of these were highly talked about.
