Vidya Balan lauds Kangana Ranaut for being brave

At the trailer launch of her forthcoming film Te3n, Vidya Balan spoke in support of Kangana Ranaut.

She said, ‘I am happy that Kangana is standing up for herself as a woman.Women often stand up for others, but when it comes to them they often stay quiet. But the fact that she is holding her ground is very commendable and brave.’

When Amitabh Bachchan, who was also present at the event, was asked about what he felt when he met the actress at the recently-held National Awards ceremony, the legend replied, ‘We did not discuss anything? I can’t know what’s going on in a person’s head when I’m sitting next to them, but I’m all for women empowerment.’
