Docudrama misspelling: Blockbuster Cinemas served notice

The Blockbuster Cinemas, located at the Jamuna Future Park, has been served a legal notice for misspelling of a docudrama titled “Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale”.

Barrister Sayedul Haque Suman, on behalf of Bangladesh Awami British Law Students’ former general Secretary Saad Al Alam Chowdhury, sent the notice to the authorities concerned via registered post on Saturday.

The notice said, Blockbuster Cinemas exhibited the name of the docudrama as “Hasina: A Daughter’s Tail” instead of Hasina: a Daughters tale” which humiliates Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s name and her dignity.   

The authorities of Blockbuster Cinemas has been asked to pardon publicly for this mistake within 24 hours. 

If the authorities don’t do this within this time, stern action would be taken, the notice added.
