Ayub Bachchu’s body taken to Chattogram for burial

The body of rock legend Ayub Bachchu has been taken to his hometown Chattogram from Dhaka on Saturday morning.

A US Bangla Airlines flight carrying his body reached Shah Amanat Shah Airport around 11:30am.

Chittagong Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin received Bachchu’s body on behalf of the city’s citizens.

Shamim Ahmed, Manager of the band LRB, confirmed the matter to Jago News.  

His body, accompanied 25 relatives including his wife, son and daughter, was taken to his maternal grandfather’s home in the port city upon arrival.

Bachchu’s fourth namaz-e-janaza will be held at the Jamiatul Falah Mosque. He will then be laid to rest beside his mother’s grave at the Choitonno Goli graveyard.

Earlier on Thursday, rockstar Ayub Bachchu died of a heart attack in his residence in the capital.
