Ayub Bachchu’s first janaza held in Dhaka
Legendary rockstar Ayub Bachchu’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at National Eidgah Ground in Dhaka after Jummah prayers on Friday.
His body will be taken to Chattogram and laid to eternal rest next to the graveyard of his mother in his village.
He breathed his last around 10:15am at Square Hospital in the capital, according to his family source.
Bachchu is well known for his distinctive headgear and guitars. Even though he started out as a Rock musician he eventually branched out to the more mainstream music of Bangladesh.
He was born in Chittagong on 16 August 1962. He started his music career with the band “Feelings” in 1978. From 1980 to 1990, he was a member of Souls as lead guitarist.
