Singer Asif Akabr has confessed to his involvement in using music property for business purpose without permission of others.

He confessed it while the members of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) interrogated him in a case filed by Musician Safiq Tuhin under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Asif confessed to sell a total of 617 songs of others musician without their permission.

CID Special Police Super Molla Nazrul Islam told Jago News: “He was interrogated overnight. At a phase of interrogation, he confessed to his involvement in the crimes which is brought against him.” 

Earlier, a team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Police arrested him at 1:30 am from his office near BFDC in the capital.
