Trailer of children movie ‘Paatshala’ on YouTube

The first trailer of the children movie "Paatshala" today released on youtube, marking the Bangladesh Children's Day and the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The move is directed by Asif Islam and Faisal Roddy and produced by Redmark Production, said a press release.

Child-actor Habib Arinda portrays the main character 'Manik' in the film. The other characters are performed by Ima Akhter Kotha, Najmul Hussain Raju, Farhana Mithu, Rumi Huda, Gazi Faruk and Amirul Islam Babu.

The film has already screened at the Sunlight International Film Festival in Germany, "Canada Kids" film festival in Toronto.

The story of Paatshala can be summarized as an adventurous journey of hopes, friendship and the fulfillment of aspirations. The plot follows a smart ten-year old child named 'Manik'. The harsh realities of life forced him to leave school and to manage a job in an automotive workshop in a city for livelihood.
