Children will stay with Karishma: Indian SC
Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and her estranged husband Sunjay Kapur have reached an agreement on modalities for separation before the Supreme Court.
According to the agreement, their children will stay with the actress, while Sunjay would get the visitation rights.
The couple has two kids, Samaira and Kiaan, from their 13-year-old marriage.
Karisma has also got the Mumbai home once owned by Sunjay’s father, The Indian EXPRESS reports.
The Supreme Court has also quashed the FIR lodged by Karisma against Sunjay and her in-laws.
Sunjay had sought the transferring of the divorce petition from Mumbai to Delhi because the businessman was allegedly warned by underworld don Ravi Pujari against entering the city.
Karisma and her husband had initially moved a mutual consent divorce petition before the court in 2014 and the consent was later withdrawn after differences cropped up between the two over the financial settlement as well as the children’s custody.
The bench was while dealing with an application filed by Sunjay Kapur seeking transfer of the couple’s matrimonial dispute from Mumbai to Delhi on the ground that he was facing a life threat from underworld gangster Ravi Pujari.
