Priyanka has put mainstream Indian cinema on global map: Kareena

Kareena Kapoor was all praise for her Aitraaz co-star Priyanka Chopra’s new found stardom in Hollywood.

Lauding her efforts at having broken through ranks to make it big in the West, Kareena said, “I think what Priyanka is doing is just amazing.

I met a few friends for dinner the other day and I was telling them how Priyanka is the only Indian actor who has put mainstream Indian cinema on global map. She is doing it in a fantastic way.”

While Hollywood seems to be the buzzword for most actresses in B-town, Kareena prefers to walk a different path.

“Just because everyone is going to the West, it doesn’t mean that even I should try. My priories are different.”

The actress however loves Hollywood films and singled out The Danish Girl for some special praise.

“That film was just out-of-this-world. It just makes you feel small as an actor.”
