Rakhi as Honeypreet in Ram Rahim biopic
Actress Rakhi Sawant has confirmed that she is going to play Honeypreet Insan, daughter of rape convict and 'Godman' Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan, in a film based on the Dera Sacha Sauda cheif.
The film is titled Ab Hoga Isaaf and will be based on the relationship between Honeypreet and Ram Rahim. Sawant's brother, Rakesh Sawant is directing the biopic.
Sawant said that the shooting for her film is underway in Delhi where the city of Sirsa has been recreated on the sets. She also reveals that the film will release between December 2017 to January 2018.
A special CBI court had sentenced the convict to 20 years in jail on 25 August, for raping two of his disciples.
The 50-year-old apparently has millions of followers, who wreaked havoc in parts of Haryana and Punjab after he was arrested. 36 people reportedly lost their lives in the arson and violence, Sirsa being the epicenter of the attack.
His adopted daughter, with whom he is alleged to have illicit relations, is absconding ever since his conviction. She has been booked by the Haryana police for sedition and conspiring to help Ram Rahim escape conviction.
