Pipra Biddya to inaugurate Indian fest
Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSCI) has selected Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s film ‘Pipra Biddya’ to be the opening film of its upcoming travelling film festival. The festival will kick start on August 3rd in Kolkata and travel to other 30 cities in India afterward.
Farooki will be present at the festival’s inaugural ceremony along with eminent filmmaker Buddhadeb Das Gupta and Bratya Bose, Tourism minister of India.
Besides ‘Pipra Biddya’, 10 other films from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Argentina, Philippines and Iran will be shown in the festival.
