Priyanka Chopra to present award at this year`s Oscars

Priyanka Chopra, who has been going places ever since her American TV debut ‘Quantico’, will be one of the presenters at this year’s Oscars to be held on February 28.

Priyanka Chopra, who was at the SAG and People’s Choice Awards held last month, made the announcement on Twitter. She will be walking the red carpet with the who’s who of Hollywood at the Oscars this year.

Priyank, who was last seen onscreen in Bajirao Mastani, is currently in the US where she is shooting for the next part of her hit TV show in which she plays an FBI trainee.

Priyanka will be joining other presenters which include Jared Leto, Kerry Washington, Julianne Moore and Quincy Jones to name a few.

Priyanka has been getting congratulatory messages eversince the anouncement was made.

Priyanka has already won an award at the People’s Choice Awards held in January this year.

Priyanka becomes the sole representative of India at this year’s Oscar ceremony. The country’s official entry in the best foreign film category for the Oscars 2016, “Court” could not make it to the final five.

The actress is also joining the cast of Hollywood film Baywatch soon and back home will be seen in Jai Gangaajal.

The Academy Awards are scheduled to take place on February 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. -indianexpress
