Farhana Nisho sacked

Popular news presenter and media personality Farhana Nisho was dismissed from Ekushey Television (ETV) on Wednesday.

She has been sacked by the authorities of the channel and the order will be executed soon, according to a termination letter signed by Md. Atikur Rahman, head of human resources and company secretary of ETV.

The copies of the letter have already been sent to the department heads. The reasons behind her dismissal could be known yet.

According to channel sources, there had been a longstanding dispute between Nisho and the authorities. As a sequel to the clash, she was fired.

When contacted, Farhana Nisho didn’t make any comments.

Nisho worked as a head of program of ETV before her dismissal. Earlier, she had worked at Boishakhi Television for a long time.
