Misha elected president, Zayed secretary

Dhallywood actors Misha Sawdagor and Zayed Khan have been elected as president and secretary respectively of Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association in order to run the association.

A total of 57 artistes vied for 21 posts from three panels -Misha Sawdagar - Zayed Khan, Omar Sunny - Amit Hasan and Dany Sidak - Ilias Kobra.

Among other office-bearers are Reaz and Nadir Khan (vice-presidents), Md Arman (joint secretary), Subrat (organizing secretary), Mamnun Emon Hero (international affairs secretary), Zakir Hossen (sports and cultural secretary), Jaky Alamgir (publicity and office secretary) and Komol (finance secretary). Rozina, Shusanta, Saimon Sadik, Anjona, Ali Reaz, Jesmine, Nasrin, Popi, Purnima, Ferdous have been elected executive members of the new committee.

The election of Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association was held on Friday. The polls started around 9am amid heavy security and ended at 6pm.

Additional law enforces have been deployed at BFDC premises to avoid any awkward situation.
