Salman Khan to celebrate Diwali with Dharavi kids
This Diwali (November 11), Salman Khan is set to celebrate the festival with a music band called Dharavi Rocks, which comprises 15 kids from the area. The superstar has invited them to visit him at his Bandra (W) residence.
A source close to the actor reveals that Salman thought it would be great to spend the festival of lights with the kids, who make music using junk items — discarded buckets, tins, wooden planks etc. “They are talented kids, making the best music they can out of waste. Salman does not believe in bursting firecrackers. So, it was his idea to spend Diwali with them,” says the source.
Meanwhile, the children are extremely excited to meet Salman. The insider reveals that the actor also plans to “jam” with them. “He is musically inclined. He is a good singer, and also knows how to play a few instruments,” says the source.
Apparently, Salman will have lunch with the children, and is planning to give them some presents too. “He has already kept a lot of sweets ready for them. He wants to make sure that the day is very special for them,” says the source. -Hindustan Times
