IU renames Mujib Hall after Shah Aziz

The authorities of Islamic University, IU, in Kushtia have renamed the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall to Shah Azizur Rahman Hall.

It also renamed three other halls of residence and an academic building, previously named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members.

The decision was taken at the syndicate meeting of the university held on February 26, said a notification signed by the IU acting registrar on March 5.

Sheikh Hasina Hall was renamed to July-36, Sheikh Russel Hall renamed to Shaheed Anas Hall, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall renamed to Ummul Muminin Ayesha Siddiqua Hall, and Wazed Miah Science Building renamed to Ibn Sina Science Hall, according to the notification.
