JUCSU draft voter list published

A draft voter list of the Jahangirnagar University Central Student Union, JUCSU, has been published.

The JUCSU Election Commission released the list on the university’s official website on Saturday, January 11, a notice said.

According to the notice, the students of honours sessions 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24, and the ones of masters sessions 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 have been included in the draft voter list.

However, the students of MPhil, PhD, Weekend and Evening programmes and irregular ones of different batches of the university have not been included in the list, the notice said.

The notice also said the inclusion of the students who were named as accused in the report of an investigation committee formed over the attacks at Bishwakabi Rabindranath Tagore Hall on July 14, at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall on July 15, on students and teachers on July 15 and on students at administrative building on July 17 will remain suspended in the voter list.

According to the election roadmap, final voter list is supposed to be published on January 15, election code of conduct be made on January 25 and schedule be released on February.
