Dhaka board chairman Tapan Kumar made OSD

Professor Tapan Kumar Sarker, the chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, has been made an Officer on Special Duty, OSD.

This information was shared in a notification signed by Rebeka Sultana, deputy secretary of  the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, on Wednesday, December 18.

Prof Tapan Kumar submitted his resignation letter to the directorate on October 21 in the face of a movement by the students who failed the Higher Secondary Certificate, HSC, examinations.

In the letter, he had requested to withdraw him from Dhaka board and post him anywhere else.

After around two months, the Ministry of Education removed him from the board and made him OSD.
