Girls outshine boys in HSC
Female students have surpassed their male peers in both pass and GPA-5 rates in the 2024 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams.
This year, the average pass rate across 11 education boards is 77.78 per cent. The pass rate for girls is 79.95 per cent, while the pass rate for boys is 75.61 per cent.
Girls also lead in terms of GPA-5 attainment. Among the total of 145,911 students who received GPA-5, 80,933 are girls and 64,978 are boys.
This information has been obtained from the summary of results prepared by the Inter Board Coordination Committee. The results were published simultaneously on the websites of the respective boards and educational institutions at 11:00 am on Tuesday.
