Writ filed seeking suspension of secondary education curriculum
A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking reform of the secondary education curriculum and the suspension of the current curriculum starting in 2025.
Supreme Court lawyer Mohammad Kamrul Islam filed the petition with the concerned branch of the High Court on Tuesday.
The writ sought directives from the High Court to form an inquiry committee to identify those responsible for formulating the ‘wrong’ curriculum.
The secretary of the Ministry of Education, the chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) and the director general of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) were made respondents to the writ.
