No forced resignations in edn institutions: Wahiduddin

Education Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud emphasised on Sunday that no one should be forced to resign from their positions in educational institutions. 

He assured that appropriate action would be taken if there were any legitimate complaints against those serving in various roles within these institutions.

Speaking during a meeting with ministry officials on Sunday (August 25), Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud said that a new appointment and recruitment process is currently underway. 

He cautioned that forcing resignations could destabilise the administration, making it difficult to ensure the payment of salaries and allowances to teachers and officials.

He further clarified that teachers, officials, and employees in government educational institutions are appointed and transferred according to established rules, leaving no room for forced resignations.

Wahiduddin Mahmud expressed his desire to restore order in the educational sector, especially after a period of instability. 

He emphasised the importance of fostering the respectful and professional relationships expected between teachers and students in the classroom, insisting that no one should be subjected to personal humiliation. He also underscored the need to maintain politeness and decorum in educational environments.
