Chief Justice urges students to go back to classes
A group of students on Wednesday blocked Shahbagh intersection in the capital protesting the reinstatement of the quota system in government jobs, to go back to their class.

The Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan on Wednesday urged the students, who are protesting the reinstatement of the quota system in government jobs, to go back to their classes.

He said the agitating students will be able to present their statements to the court if they want.

The Chief Justice came up with the statement after the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court had ordered a status quo for one month on the High Court’s judgment to reinstate the freedom fighter quota system for first and second-class government jobs.

Obaidul Hassan also urged the Vice Chancellors to take initiatives to take the protesting students back to classes.
