Education sector gets Tk 94710 allocation in budget

The government will spend around Tk 94,710 crore for the education sector in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali proposed the spending while placing the proposed national budget of Tk 7,97,000 crore for FY2024-25 at Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.
The allocation is Tk 6,547 more than that of the current financial year.
In the proposed budget, Tk 38,819 allotment has been proposed for the Primary and Mass Education Ministry, Tk 11,783 for technical and madrasa education, and Tk 44,108 for secondary and higher education.
