Guardians demand school closure during Ramadan
A group of guardians has demanded closure of the educational institutions during the Holy month of Ramadan.
They made the demand in a human chain in front of Jatiya Press Club in the capital Dhaka on Saturday.
In the program, they said the decision to keep schools open during Ramadan frustrated them and the students.
As a result of the decision, fasting students and their guardians will face severe suffering, and causing suffering to fasting people is inhuman, they said.
Earlier on February 8, the government decided to continue academic activities in the primary, and secondary schools for the first 10, and 15 days of Ramadan respectively.
