Six educational institutions shut along Ghumdhum border

Bandarban district administration has directed six educational institutions in Naikhongchhari upazila to close for an indefinite period amid firing inside Myanmar territory along the Ghumdhum-Tumbru border.

People residing along the border have also been asked to evacuate, Deputy Commissioner Shah Muzahid Uddin told Jago News on Sunday evening.

Earlier this morning, a man was injured by firing from the Myanmar side of the border in Tumbru area.
