19 held for cheating in primary teacher recruitment test

Police have detained 19 people in Rangpur for cheating in the assistant teacher recruitment test of government primary schools.

They were detained along with mobile handsets and devices from different exam centers and areas in the city on Friday morning.

Rangpur Metropolitan Police's Deputy Commissioner (crime) Abu Maruf Hossain said 11 students are among the detainees.

The first phase examination to recruit assistant teachers in government primary schools was held in Rangpur, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions on Friday.

The examination was initially scheduled for November 24 and later, it was deferred in two phases for December 1 and 8 respectively.
