EC sent letter seeking postponement of primary recruitment test

Candidates of the assistant teachers recruitment test in government primary schools have written to the Election Commission (EC) seeking postponement of the exam.

A candidate named Md Ashraful Islam on behalf of all aspirants wrote the letter on Wednesday mentioning security concerns due to the hartal and blockade.

The EC officials said they received the letter and informed the candidates that it would be presented to the Chief Election Commission (CEC).

However, the first phase examination to recruit assistant teachers in government primary schools is scheduled to be held in Rangpur, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions on December 8.

The examination was initially scheduled for November 24 and later, it was deferred in two phases for December 1 and 8 respectively.
